MT-USAW Sanctioned Clubs
You must be a chartered club to: compete for team trophies, be involved in the annual meeting, bid a tournament, make changes to current by-laws etc.
Your club must provide the correct number of officials in order to compete for team trophies at the state tournament also.
8. In order to participate in team trophy competition at tournaments, clubs must be MT-USAW Sanctioned Clubs in good standing. Clubs who fail to provide the required number of officials {per standing rules} for said tournament would be eliminated from the team trophy race. May 2010 - Helena
B. TripleCrownAward 1. MT-USAW will support a Triple Crown Award based on the following criteria:
a. A wrestler must wrestle at least one match at each MT-USAW State Tournament and Montana AAU State Tournament (as applicable).
b. A wrestle rmust place first (1st) at al lMT-USAW StateTournaments (Freestyle and Greco) and 1st at Montana AAU State Tournament (Folkstyle) (as applicable).
c. A wrestler does not have to wrestle at the same weight at each tournament.
d. MT-USAW will budget $500 toward this award. Montana AAU will pay for half of the total cost of the award. Total cost of the award will not exceed $1,000, split evenly between MT-USAW and Montana AAU May 3, 2003 Helena
e. A girl who wrestles in a girls bracket in any MT-USAW State Tournament must then wrestle in a girls bracket for each of the two (2) MT-USAW State Tournaments to qualify for a Girl's Triple Crown Award, unless there are not enough girls to make a bracket (i.e. 2 or more) at a State Tournament and the girl wrestles in the boys bracket at that tournament. f. At the AAU State Folkstyle Tournament, the head coach of the club representing the girl must make a request for a girls card to the tournament director. May 2009 - Bozeman
